The New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) provides opportunities for individuals to develop their management and leadership capability.  NZIM builds capability through research, education, professional development and recognition.

NZIM Inc is a registered private training establishment (PTE) accredited to provide qualifications to Level 6.  NZIM Inc owns and manages a range of qualifications and is responsible for the student registry and quality assurance of all NZIM products. 

The NZIM Ascent of Management programme has been developed over many years and is designed to facilitate management development pathways.  Through this programme, NZIM offers Certificate and Diploma qualifications to students at a range of secondary and tertiary providers throughout New Zealand. 

The national team administers the Ascent of Management qualifications, as well as other approved qualifications provided through NZIM regional offices, and acts as a registry and central resource for them.  It also manages the provider accreditation and approval process to deliver the Ascent of Management qualifications, and manages the moderation and quality assurance processes for compliance of the programme.
